AGRICO FARMS and ORCHARDS is created to cater to the growing demand for superior quality Fruits & Vegetable plants by setting up a Nursery with a large collection of Exotic Fruit plants, Indigenous Medicinal plants & rare Herbs, both local, desi and imported plants. We are planning for tie ups in Malaysia and Turkey for importing plants. We are also planning to lease large tracts of land in Tamilnadu close to the foothills of Nilgiris and start large farms and orchards. We already own a small patch of land in the proposed area called Bommapalayam on the Annur- Mettupalayam Road. There is already an old Amla(Gooseberry) plantation next to our land. We are planning to grow winter vegetables and not so popular fruits like Dates, Figs and Olives on the valleys and contour slopes of the area. These orchards will be a trendsetter in S. India where only traditional fruits are cultivated. Eventually there will be value added products made from these fruits like Dates Jam, Pickle, Syrup, Cold pressed Virgin Olive Oil, Pickled Olives and Olive Leaf Tea, Fig Jam, Honey and Energy Bars.
Cottages and Walking Trails will be constructed to explore the possibilities of Farm Tourism. AGRICO Farms will be completely eco-friendly and caring for the environment giving priority to the flora and fauna of the region. The farm will be favorite spot for honey bees and birds and that in turn will enhance the pollination and farm yields.
