NEW HORLICKS CAMPAIGN

The new Horlicks advt. ASKING FOR A SIZE CHANGE for kids with the kids making a "premature" statement.
Badlo apne bachpan ka size..!!!
The advt. is very disturbing and the Tagline is off the limits. I am a father of two young kids and I don't think the message will bring in any positive results. The kids of India are already growing at an all time high in terms of height, weight and "everything else" and I mean that including the size of their under wears. They now need bigger sizes, thanks to Horlicks and other steroid injected food material they are getting to eat.
Mr. Prashant Pandey is trying to justify the advt. But the kids seeing and hearing these kind of inspiring Tag lines will try to become more aggressive and the result will be a bigger and better size that will lead to more number of eve teasing, rapes and street brawls. Then the society will cry out loud against the crime committed to the kids, youth etc. etc.
What is the Advt. watchdog ASCI doing ? Ban this advt. right away.

Darsheel is an average or above average kid whose stars are bright now. But his latest advt. for Horlicks tastes bitter. He is infact trying to put his and other kids future at risk by uttering those Taglines "Badlo apne bachpan ka size". The Advt. agency and GSK must have thought of the far reaching implications. Kids are kids and they have to grow up naturally. The way rest of the elders in the world did...!!!
Sure, this advt. must be banned.

Right Ketan,

This Horlicks advt. and Glaxo Smith Kline tried to project a dangerous image for the Gen X kids.
They are already off the track. Shot Gun culture is in India too now. Darsheel is a puppet in the hands of the advt. agency.

I see a tricky Commercial angle to this advt. Darsheel did a good job for the Movie Tare....
But this Horlicks advt. and others are to boost his ad value. Look at the money he is offered. These are all smart games played by the Managers to the kid. Darsheel is just an instrument.

Hi Friend,

I just registered in bigadda. Thanks for your views on the New Horlicks advt. campaign. Hope all parents who have a little caring for their kids will not justify this advt. Darsheel is no a role model for the kids atleast in this case.

Obesity is the most 'contageous' disease of the modern world. I think ad agencies have the moral responsibility to coin the socially non-destructive messages in the campaigns. Horlicks need to rethink on the campaign and change it ASAP so that the brand get a better image.

Mr. Varghese,
You are right. Obesity is one thing the kids of today are fighting to ward off. i might rather say the parents are fighting to get rid off... The root cause is junk food and the so called health drinks. The multi-national companies want to mint money by milking the indian families by doing any rubbish. In this new advt. by darsheel and friends, the look and gestures on their face is no role model stuff for the kids. See how they grind their teeth and show their anger and fury and frustration towards their "size" and proclaim that they want to Change their size...
